Backdrops Made Easy by HomeTex.Ca

Muslin, polypropylene or polyester cotton  blend fabrics can all be used for making great backdrops. In fact, the best part about using white backdrops is the fact that it can be made into what we want easily by, painting on it  dyeing it or just giving it the appropriate texture.

I am  a teacher and organizer of  school cultural section and we do involve ourselves in a lot of cultural activities. The most essential features which we were looking for in the fabric backdrop for our play was its ability to be painted easily and give some kind of a solid look rather than it appearing like a thin background. We bought some 90 inches wide white cotton polyester fabric to be used as a background fabric from Hometex.ca and were happy with the thickness of the cloth as well as the way we could easily get it pinned on to a board. We had to paint a forest background on the backdrop and the latex as well as acrylic paint, which we used, worked well on the 100% white fabric. We also got some discounts from Hometex.ca on the volume since we bought quite some quantity and they delivered it really quick too.

We also used some polypropylene cloth in the form of a screen to air some movies in the open for some of the kids during the annual camp, which was conducted. The backdrop material also served this purpose beautifully.

I have also seen the backdrop cloth used during weddings with some beautiful burlap decorations. You can use it for photo shoots or for backgrounds, for plays the way we used it in our school or even in the form of a screen. There are definitely many more uses than the ones that I have spelled out and we can actually be very imaginative with our backdrop fabrics, I solidly endorse the backgound and backdrop fabric available at hometex
